As always, we at FestivalZOO would like to make some recommendations in terms of which DJs you should be sure and catch. For Electric Daisy Carnival 2011 - Las Vegas, which has an enormous lineup, we are going to make it simple and break it down by genre.
Here are our recommendations for Electro DJs:
Friday
Calvin Harris will be your best bet for a more commercial sounds electro house. Expect some of his big hits such I’m not Alone. Steve Aoki is going to be play some high intensive electro, with Wolfgang Gartner pulling a more dirty sound.
Saturday
Porter Robinson, and Chuckie are not to be missed. I can guarantee an hour and a half of non-stop energy at Chuckie‘s set. For a more chill experience, be sure to see Sidney Samson earlier in the evening. If you liked Wolfgang Gartner (and also happen to be a Deadmau5 fan), Feed Me plays right after Porter Robinson from 10-11. Lastly, right after Chuckie, UNLEASH THE MOTHER F*CKING DADA with Dada Life! It’s a shame they only get an hour.
Sunday
Afrojack and Laidback Luke, the lords of Dutch Electro, grace the stages of EDC on Sunday. They’re hands down my favorite acts to see, and I highly recommend them. Be sure to read our upcoming article comparing Afrojack‘s festival performances with his club performances to determine whether or not you’d prefer to see him after EDC at XS. If you missed Dada Life or Wolfgang Gartner, they’re back for seconds on Sunday. Unfortunateyl, Dada share a timeslot with Afrojack, but you’ve got Wolfgang closing the carnival.
