All was going well as Kaskade was performing an impromptu set in front of the Mann Chinese theater before the premier of the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience until a restless crowd started to gather. The event or “Block Party” was invite only and as more uninvited guests gathered the police decided to shut down Hollywood Blvd. and disburse the crowd. Some people did not immediately leave and even damaged some police vehicles in defiance.
Kaskade went on Twitter amid the madness to ask everyone to calm down and represent the scene in the positive manner it deserves. He eventually tweeted the “block party” was over and everyone should leave and get home safely. It was reported that several arrests were made in all of the commotion.
There was an official after party hosted at the Supperclub in Hollywood directly after the premier of the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience and Kaskade was also the headliner. So far there haven’t been any reported incidents at the after party.
We at festivalZOO always promote safe behavior no matter what the situation and we remind everyone to always be respectful and safe when you are out having a good time and representing the electronic music scene. We certainly do not want the electronic music scene to get a bad reputation because of the poor judgment of a few individuals.
