Venue

Tempelhof ceased operations in October 2008. At one time is was one of Europe’s three iconic pre-World-War-II airports (the other two were London’s now defunct Croydon Airport and the old Paris - Le Bourget Airport). One of the airport’s most distinctive features is its large, canopy-style roof. During the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s, this ahead-of-its time roof could accommodate modern aircraft and protect passengers from the elements. These days that roof is part of what creates the perfect setting for a festival.
