In our first promotional venture, festivalZOO has joined forces with Plastic Love , a party formed by dj’s Bas and Jimmy Maheras. With a unique and eclectic taste for dance music, Plastic Love was the perfect fit to bring the LA scene a true underground sound! Plastic Love’s recent events include Innervisions lable owner Âme who share it with world renown deep house artist Dixon! With their unique blend of disco and house we are utlizing our eclectic taste to bring artists at the forefront of cutting edge underground music! Together festivalZOO and Plastic Love have united to bring a monthly party known as plasticZOO!
plasticZOO can be best described as a place where there are no boundries, no lines, only good music! For one night each month we will be bringing the best in undergound deep, disco, techno, plasticZOO love! It will be pure shenanigans, an environment for one to release from reality and become one with the music! With a limited capacity of 250 people, Medusa lounge was the right fit to bring big room artist for an intimate up close experience! Expect the unexpected, props, ticket giveaways, gays, hipsters, househeads all coming together to join in our passion for HOUSE music! plasticZOO will be led by residents Bas (Plastic Love), Jimmy Maheras (Plastic Love, RebeLlion), DK (festivalZOO, LA), and Ernie Bumps (festivalZOO, LA).
Our first scheduled event is to bring Stacey Pullen(Black Flag, Saved, Cadenza) a Detroit legend! With over 20+ years of experience in the dance music scene, you might wonder why he would be at the top of our list? With the recent revival of his label Black Flag, Stacey Pullen has certaninly become one of the most in-demand dj’s on the circuit today! Detroit techno has influenced some of the industry’s leading artists and with new waves of artists like Visionsquest (Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtiss) making headlines in clubs across Europe and the UK, everybody is looking to Detroit for a little bit of influence. At the forefront of that movement comes Stacey Pullen!
About Stacey Pullen:
I first fell in love with Stacey when he played a back to back set with Loco Dice at the “I’m On A Boat 3″ after party during Paxahaus Torino’s Movement Festival in Detroit over Memorial Day Weekend! With artists like Sven Vath and Ricardo Villalobos on the top deck, you would think this would be the place to be, however it was very clear that people were ready to move and Stacey and Loco gave the crowd the injection they needed! Fueled by huge basslines and house choons that had the boat rocking til the lights came on! Stacey has been on tear over the summer with invites from the legendary Pete Tong for a headlining spot a world renown Pacha Ibiza and Sven Vath’s Cocoon at Amnesia just to name a few! Stacey has an elite and diverse set of friends, some of whom he had the pleasure of headlining parties with during WMC - Viva boss Steve Lawler, Rekids boss Radioslave, Saved boss Nic Fanciulli, Desolat boss Loco Dice, Cadenza boss Luciano and the list goes on! Stacey was recently invited back by Mr. Tong in late August with the biggest compliment, getting his very own essential mix! Need I say more….this guy is on fire and is hitting the LA scene to give you party animals a rocking 2.5 hour set that will keep you on the dance floor begging for more????!!!
