Berlin has quickly become one of the top places for electronic music. The clubs stay open all night and there are no restrictions on alcohol sales. It has also become the hub for techno and underground music with many of the top artist living in the city. Berlin Music Days was established in 2009 as a club festival to showcase what Berlin has to offer. In 2010 the festival attracted 50,000 visitors and this year is set to be even bigger. The festival takes place over 4 days in November and is comprised of club events across the city. In the final day of the festival a closing ceremony is held at the old Berlin Airport, Tempelhof. This year Plastikman, Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, Loco Dice, and many more are scheduled to perform.

Watergate

A favorite of FestivalZOO. This venue is located right on the Spree River in former East Berlin. The club has two dance floors. The top dance floor has a spectacular LCD light fixture in the ceiling and is dark and dirty (in just the right way). The bottom floor usually has the windows open allowing morning light to sip in while the music gets deep and funky. Schedule:

This nightclub is located on the 12th, 15th, and rooftop in a building overlooking Alexander Platz.

Bergain/Panorama Bar

Located in a former powerstation, Berghain has been considered one of the top clubs in the world for the last 10 years. It is not for the faint of heart. All kinds of people come here and to dance long hours to some of the top techno DJs. The main room is a huge room with high ceilings and usually feature techno while the top floor area (Panorama Bar) usually feature more house music. This will be the place to be for techno lovers on Saturday when Drumcode are hosting.

The big event at Tempelhof airport is on Saturday night at 8:00PM. The main stage will feature some of the top names in techno while the beatport stage will feature some top house acts. Here is the full lineup:

Transportation

Main Airports: The two major airports in Berlin are Schonefeld and Tegel. It is fairly easy to take public transportation from either airport but a cab ride should not be too expensive either. Best way to get around Berlin is by using subway (U-Bahn), walking, or taking taxis.
