With the huge increase in dance music festivals, we take you to the “Big Easy” for some new territory to explore! The Voodoo music experience hits City Park in New Orleans for a 3 day extravaganza, October 28th, 29th, and 30th. The Voodoo Experience was traditionally a festival catered to family fun with gates opening at 9am and closing at 1130pm Friday and Saturday, however with the huge demand of electronic artist, Verboten from NYC joined on with a slew of some the hottest international talent! Voodoo goes Verboten has a special dedicated section called “La Plur” that will host all dance music artists including Cassy, Claude VonStroke, Craig Richards, Danny Howells, Deniz Kurtel, Lee Burridge, Maya Jane Coles, Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, Three, Voices of Black, and Wolf+Lamb. Each of VOODOO’s individual performance areas is enhanced by the use of interactive art set amid City Park’s lush lagoons, bayous and one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world. This festival will have something for everyone, we recommend exploring “Le Flambeau’s” stage with two performance spots (Preservation Hall Tent and the WWOZ Stage) that honor the roots and history of New Orleans music and its inspiration on others.
